God cares about our needs

God provides and makes things possible

There are times we do not know how we are going to get by and how we are going to get food put on the table or a roof over our heads. But I want to tell you that God cares for not only our wants, but our needs. God is faithful to provide and make a way for us to get what we need.

Philippians 4:19 says, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

The other day the Lord whispered to me about going to a Korean restaurant because I had a little extra money. However, there was not one around in the area. So, I was thinking of having Korean food delivered to my home. But the restaurants were far away and I wanted to save money.

So, I went to a food pantry later that day. In a box was some food and a bowl of Korean noodles with vegetables and that was God coming through for me in that moment. That was God providing for my needs and making a way possible for me.

I just thank Him and praise Him for providing that need and want even before I asked. He knew what I wanted and still provided because He loves us and cares for us.

Often times, we try to control our lives by getting what we want, whether that is a job or more money or materialism. Those things do not matter for eternity. It is our eternal soul and the works we do on earth that will bring rewards in the kingdom of heaven.
Our works do not save us, but our evidence that our faith is real and genuine and that we are heaven bound.

We do not have to try to go out and make it happen on our own in our own strength. That is how the world works today. The world expects you to work a 40 hour work week or even plus hours and work long strenuous hours.

You are just working yourself to the bone. Yes, we should work hard, but doing meaningful and purposeful work for the kingdom of heaven. The work we do for the kingdom of heaven is what will matter for eternity and what will have an impact on eternity.

John 6:27-33 says, "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and He was buried and He rose again the third day. We all deserve hell for our sins and Jesus Christ took what our just wrath and punishment and died to save us from going to hell for eternity if we repent and turn away from sins and put our faith and trust in Him.
